Hunter Fan - Things changed, customer support zero help.
Bought a house full of Hunter fans 12 years ago, top of the line, 54 inch up light, down light, remote control. One, a 28525, with a tiffany upper lamp shade was dropped during installation and customer support bent over backwards to help.
Sent wrong part twice and finally replaced the entire fan free of charge. 5 star service back then. Same fan today...remote had problems. One of the buttons stuck and it quit functioning.
Fan stuck on high speed, winter mode lights on. Hunter: Remote is discontinued and we don't stock that part anymore. Me: Is there another remote that will work? Hunter: No, the receiver is integrated into the fan and only that remote will work and there are no switches on the fan to change settings.
You must have a synced control. Me: Do you know of a place I can get a remote for it? Hunter: You might try ebay. The best we can do is offer you a 30% discount on a new fan on our web site.
Me: But there are two matching fans in our living room, your suggesting i toss out two thousand dollar fans because one $50 remote doesn't work. Hunter: Sorry, sir thats the best we can do. Found a new remote for $60 at Gulf Coast Fans, Denton, Tx. Got it today.
Problem solved. Hunter, never again.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
